Cataclysm Series 11 – The Antichrist Part 1

This is the first of a two-part presentation entitled “The Antichrist” which is a continuation of the series “Cataclysm”. In particular, in this first and introductory talk, we consider what the Apostle Paul writes in his second letter to the Thessalonians chapter two, namely. “Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 )”. We try to understand what the “rebellion” might mean and consider some characteristics of the “man of lawlessness”. In the process, we investigate several archetypes of the antichrist in antiquity.
