Why were the Bereans considered more honorable than the Thessalonians, you know, today?
We’re where we are spiritually, because we weren’t Bereans. That’s seven, that’s Acts 17:11. It says that the Bereans were more honorable than the Thessalonians, and why? Because of everything they had been taught, they went to search for the scriptures to see if they were so. The point is this: if it’s not in the text, the Bible doesn’t teach it. And if it teaches it, it says it.
If it doesn’t say it, it doesn’t teach it. Any teaching that is not biblically supported by text can result in scriptural misalignment. And I call them potholes. Remember last week, I was so excited, coming again today, the potholes all the way here are fixed, and they remain. They’ve done a great job. I’m not dodging those potholes anymore, or I would fall into one trying to miss another.
They’re all repaired. I’m telling you, it’s a sign. In the spirit. See, you’ve got to be able to see when He’s doing something. He’s doing that. He’s repairing the potholes in the natural because He’s going to repair your potholes. Isn’t it exciting? Oh, it’s something to get excited about. When Christian scholars mistranslated the Hebrew word Torah and made it,
See, that’s what I love about these Bibles. All these Bibles that are translated by Jews, are they getting it? We’re getting it back in the right words. There’s no law here. This is all Torah. It can be law in very rare instances. But 90% of the time, the words should have been Torah. It’s called restoration.
Have you ever hung wallpaper? If so, you know a plumb line is critical. Now I’ve hung, I wouldn’t consider myself a wall paperer, but I have hung a little wallpaper in my earlier days; I don’t recommend it at this age, but if you don’t get a plumb line, and if you don’t have a plumb bob and you don’t snap that plumb line and you have that paper two millimeters off, by the time you get to the corner, you are pulling your hair out.
Well, that’s the way it is Scripturally, Biblically, Spiritually, you’ve got to be sure the way you’re dividing the word, you’re hitting a plumb line. In Zechariah 4:8, I believe it says he’s going to put a plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. I personally think that we entered that day, I won’t go into it now, but I personally think on 09/11/1999, the plumb line dropped.
We reached the 20-year marker on 9/11/ 2019. This past 911, 2019, 20 years. 20 is the number of expectations. I am coming into 2020; it is a whole new era. We are now into a 2020 vision. You see, it’s a natural. It’s time for you to see; it’s time for you to wake up; it’s time for you to stop and say, “Where is my text for everything I’ve been doing?”
Because as long as you’re in your body suit, and you’re breathing, you can make decisions and change. And He’s so gracious. He will catch you up in a hurry. I’ve seen him do it. He’s done for all of us. Now I’m going to tell you an encounter I had because it helps explain how I got where I am.
But this was a long time ago. I would consider myself a very slow learner. And you’ll see why. I had already started in the ministry. The Lord had released me into the city, and I was gathering pastors across denominational lines. The Lord was blessing that, and they were meeting in prayer times. And someone in our city, a very well-known, wonderful person, had contacted Billy Graham’s headquarters.
They were having a Lausanne 2 conference in Manila, Philippines, and said they really thought I should go because of the work I was doing in the city. I didn’t know they were doing this, but they called and said, “Would you go, Marilyn? If you get an invitation? I said, well, I guess I wasn’t looking to go.
It never even entered my brain to go there. They only took 467 from the United States. They set a quota for each country. But unbeknownst to me, when I came home into my office one evening, there was a letter there from Doctor Thomas Wong. I opened it, and it said, ” We are inviting you to be a special guest at the Lausanne 2 conference, and we’ll need to know if you can come.
So, of course, I prayed about it and went. Evangelism is not my thing. I can evangelize, but that’s not my thing. My thing is teaching believers to walk in the word, to know the word, to live the word. And I’m trying to do that, too. So I went, and I met a woman. I heard her, but she didn’t know I was even there.
Her name is Julia Thomas. This was the first year, the first time Billy Graham had ever had a woman as a moderator. Now I thought she was a speaker, because I heard a message. She was the most anointed person there in the ten days I was there.
I came home, and three years later, in 1992, I got a newsletter from her. I have never got one before. In January, I opened the thing, and the anointing was all over it. I thought, “This is really interesting. I took it to Albert and Anne Rountree, who were praying with me, and I said, ” You know, I’m getting the feeling I’m supposed to bring Julia Thomas from India.
They looked at me and said, “Marilyn.” I just get, really, a witness to this. So long story short, we all agreed we were. So, I tried to call her. I don’t know what time it is in India, daytime or not. I have tried to look it up and did the best I could. I gave her the first ring at 9:00 in the morning in India, and I said, “Julie, you don’t know me, but I met you at the Lausanne 2 conference.
But I think the Holy Spirit is laying on my heart that you come to Kansas City and hold a conference for us. She said, ” Well, I don’t know. I have to pray about such an anointed woman. She said I have to pray about it. Could you call me back? So, we made an arrangement. I called her back, and she said, ” You know, I’ve been praying about it, and I think it’s right on.
And she said, the interesting thing is that I’m on the World Vision board, and their board meetings are right after your meeting, so you could share expenses. Oh, that sounds wonderful. So she came, and the dates were the 10th, 11th, and 12th of September. She stayed at my home. We had Thursday night; she was a wonderful speaker. Friday morning, we got ready, but I noticed she was very quiet.
Not much to say, but she’s very deep spiritually. So, she comes to the mic that morning, and she’s so reserved and troubled-looking. And she said, “I’ve been up all night”. She said, “I had one message to bring you”, but she said, I can’t give you that message. I must give you Revelation 2:4. And I could tell it really hurt her to bring that message.
You’ve done this right, and you’ve done this right, and you’ve done this right. But I have this against you. You have left your first love. Now, I interpreted it like every other person interprets Revelation 2:4. I have about ten books on Revelation, and all the scholars say that’s the believers’ love for Yeshua, when that is not the problem.
I know that now, I’m not going to tell you right now what the problem was, but the correction is why we’re here today. I finally got it on 9/25/2015, 23 years later. The real answer lies in this. You’ve got to know the history of the church, you have to lay it over the text, and you have to go on to Revelation 2:5.
Do you know Revelation 2:5? I never got down to reading Revelation. I got stuck at Revelation 2:4. I didn’t read Revelation 2:5 until September 25th of 2015, and the minute I read it, my eyes opened. And this is what it says: Remember what you used to do, repent that you’re not doing it, and start doing it.
That’s really, I’m paraphrasing, but that’s what it says. So, this is what Yeshua is saying. Remember what you did when I was with you and the apostles were with you. What was that? They kept the Torah, they kept the Sabbath, they kept the festivals, they knew the covenants, they knew the calendars, and they walked with Him through His cycles.
Now he said, ” You’re not doing it.” Now repent and start doing it. And that was the day the light came on for me. What is wrong with this picture? There’s an alignment problem. One pothole can render misalignment. Today, 2000 years later, many believers’ eyes are almost impenetrable to the light of our Fathers’ Torah teachings. We read Scripture with what I call pre-possession.
You read Scripture, which was what you were taught, and that’s the way you read it. And so, your eyes are scaled, and we don’t see what’s really there in the text. Our Father’s call. Remember, this is where we are right now, this verse in Malachi 4:4 & 5 in the Jewish Bible b 322. It says, ” Remember the Torah of my servant Moses, the statutes and rules that I commanded him at Horeb for all Israel before the great and awesome day of Yehovah comes”.
This is what he’s doing right now, Dear ones. He’s awakening people who have eyes to see and ears to hear that you will be ready for the great and terrible day of the Lord, because you’re going to need to be aligned with the Torah. If you put it all there, it doesn’t. You won’t get it. But this is really the now-time verse because we missed the Revelation 2:4 message.
We are the prophetic fulfillment of Revelation 3:17. Watch it. The seven periods of the Ecclesia, those seven epistles: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia. Laodicea. Watch the progression, it’s downhill all the way. They start out with, “What is He doing?” He has seven stars in his right hand, and he’s walking among the candlesticks, and he keeps going downhill.
If you know the history, I can lay the history over every one of those periods. And by the time you get to Laodicea, he’s on the outside knocking. I meant to have the picture of that; it is so powerful. He’s knocking, and He says to them, “Because we say we’re rich, we have prospered; we need nothing.” And He said, ” You don’t realize that you’re wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.
What kind of words would He have to use to wake us up? We think this is for someone else. No, dear ones, this is to the Ecclesia of this day. Because we departed from His teachings. Yehovah gave the first prophetic promise that the Messiah is coming.
Now I’m going to switch to Messiah. This is all been really about putting the Father in His proper priority of authority.
And now I want to bring you, because these first two lessons were priority of the Father, priority of His Word. Now we’re moving to Word Yeshua gave the first prophetic promise of Messiah’s coming and ministry in Genesis 3:15. The prophecy stated that He, the Messiah, the last Adam, would fell the enemy and restore the human race, returning us to our Father.
This occurred nearly 2000 years ago. Now we’re walking toward Acts 3:19 – 21. This is where we are right now. Acts 3:19 – 21 say, repent that your sins will be forgiven, that times of restoration might come, for the Heavens are holding Him back until the restoration of all things. Restoration is going to come through repentance. That’s why you have this Teshuvah book.
This book is about 40 days of repentance. Repentance is the greatest way to get aligned. Always personally, is repentance. That’s the only way we get reconciled back is acknowledging, confessing, and repenting. So let us behold the promise of the Son. The word of the Father made flesh and dwelt among us. I want to share something with you.
You might not agree with me, and it’s okay if you don’t. You know Yehovah Elohim does not He doesn’t do anything without revealing His secrets to His servants, the prophets. Everything He does, He tells us beforehand. So, these prophecies, He’s telling us clear in the Torah. Look how many this is all out of the Torah. So, if you lay the Torah aside, you’ve laid all these rich passages.
Genesis 3:15 is the first promise of Messiah. The second one I can find is Genesis 3:12. He says, Abraham, through you I will bless all the nations, but Paul brings it out, clearing Galatians 3:16. It’s not to seeds of Abraham, but to one seed. Messiah. So, when He’s given that prophecy in Genesis, that promise in Genesis 3:12, he’s talking about Yeshua the Messiah, but the one I’m really, I can talk on the rest of the six weeks is Deuteronomy 18:15 -18.
And it’s about the promise of the prophet. I’m giving you a bookmark that I designed a few years ago, it’s my favorite bookmark, you’ll get that later. We want to look at the archives in the Torah. Adam is a type, right, Adam is a natural. Yeshua the spiritual. They’re both called Son of God.
The ark, I see the ark is a type of Messiah. I seek a promised Son, He’s a type of Messiah, He went up to Mount Moriah. He was ready to offer himself, Remember, He laid his life down. Joseph, there’s no greater prophecy. Fulfillment of an archetype than Joseph. They’re multiple, and, you know, I love the ending of his life when his brothers are so afraid.
Dad’s gone, they said, now he’s going to take it out on us, and he said, oh no, He said, you meant it for evil, but the Father meant it for good to save many alive. That’s what he’s going to say to his brother. And you know, if you read Acts 7, you will see when Stephen was being stoned, you see the most beautiful thing there in Acts 7, Steven’s recount of this history, like the Jews don’t know that they’re getting ready to kill him, you know.
And he says, but when Joseph came the second time, then his brothers knew him, it’s right there. When he comes a second time, then they’re going to know him. And of course, Moses. Moses is, never forget this, Moses is to the Tanak what is to the Bre Hadisha. These are the two central figures of the Bible.
Moses got the written Torah. Yeshua is the living Torah, and these two are two witnesses. One’s a natural, Moses was born of a woman. You have two, a natural and a spiritual. They’re both speaking the same thing to us, and everything agrees that they say, because you know why it agrees, because everything they spoke came out of the mouth of the Father.
Both of them, this is what the prophecy says. I will raise up for them a prophet like you, Moses, from among their brethren, And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. Whoever will not listen to my words, that he shall speak in my name, I myself will require it.
There is so much in this prophecy, in this promise of Yeshua. He’s going to be what he’s going to be like. Whom, who is the prophet going to be like? He’s going to be like Moses, if he’s like Moses, then he’s going to have to speak what Moses spoke. I developed this chart, which I love this, I use it all the time.
I call it the Elijah timeline. I got it out of every man’s Talmud. They didn’t have numbers in them, but I put them in, David helped me. We put this into a chart form. Every 2000 years, every day. So, these are the days of creation. There’s seven days, and days are a thousand years.
But on this chart, you realize that two days, the first two days are 2000 years. And that was desolation. There was no Torah for 2000 years, people without Torah go berserk. They don’t have any guidelines; they don’t know how to conduct themselves. There’s no fear of the Lord, and so the cataclysmic judgment of the flood happened. The next 2000 years is called Torah.
And this is what the prophets Elijah taught in the school of the prophets. He said there would be 2000 years without Torah, 2000 years with Torah, Torah in the written form. Then Messiah will come. He doesn’t say you’ll be Torah, but I’m telling you that’s who He is. So he comes on the fifth day. We’re on what now?
We’re closing the sixth day, the seventh day is the Earth, Sabbath rest. Every time you and I do Sabbath, we are revealing the Father as creator and endorsing the coming of the Kingdom. He, John will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready for the Lord a people prepared.
I’m kind of trying to do this progressively how it unfolded. And the angel said to Mary, “You found favor with the Lord.” I’m going to tell you today you have found favor with the Lord. The fact you’re here, the fact He’s telling you these things because He’s given this to me. This is my call to the church at large, and I’ll tell this wherever I go.
But it’s hard to find people who are ready. But, you know, it’s 2020 now. People are ready. You’re sitting here today. He’s going to make you ready. He’s giving you eyes to see, you’re the fulfillment. If you look up Isaiah 32:3 & 4 in Isaiah 6, Isaiah had to put a curse on the Jewish people. They have eyes, but they wouldn’t see they have ears, but they wouldn’t hear.
Hearts, but wouldn’t believe. But not so in Isaiah 32: 3& 4 it says, those that have eyes will see, those that have ears will hear, those that have a heart, they will believe they will receive, those that have a stammering tongue. I’m going to help them talk. That’s where we are now. This is what he wants to do with you.
He wants to use you, each one of you can become a messenger for Him. You can have groups; you can teach. So, Miriam found, I’m not going to go through the slide, you know, we have been through this, many people read this already recently in December, over and over and over. So, she found favor and, you know, she was so amazed.
She didn’t understand how this could be. But she said those words, Heneni, be it unto your servant, father, as you say, when the fullness of time came, He brought his Son wrapped in flesh under the Torah. He walked out the Torah to the nth degree; He is the Torah. In the beginning was the word, The word was Elohim.
The word was Elohim, the word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the only glory, the son from the Father, full of grace and truth. Torah was given through Moses. Grace and truth came through Yeshua Hamashiach man shall live. This is one of the greatest verses in all the Bible, Deuteronomy 8:3 man shall live by every word that comes out of the mouth of the Father, the word in the Bible.
Every word that is in the Bible, came out of the mouth of the Father. He is the only one that can bring Word. When Messiah came into the world, he said, sacrifices and offerings you have not desired, but body you have prepared me. Now this is in Hebrews is really taken from Psalm 40. Psalm 40 doesn’t have body in it, but probably from the Targum, which is Aramaic.
They feel that I don’t want to get into it, it’s too complicated, but it is indicated that the writer of Hebrews could have reached back into that text, but it’s so obvious. Yeshua, for sure, the natural birth. I want to just compare this natural birth with spiritual natural birth; Child comes out of the loins of the father.
We see this all through text. We were all in the loins of Adam. That’s really genetically where we were then. We were in the loins of Noah, one of Noah’s three sons. Everybody on planet Earth, our Father, new birth, comes out of his mouth, its word and breath. Everything that happens is by word and breath, and you cannot have words without breath.
Try it. You cannot. And you can see I used this illustration. You could go out on a cold winter day, If you had gone out last Thursday, what it was, and you were seeing your breath. You don’t see it here, but if it was really cold, you would see the breath coming out of my mouth. Because you have that breath, with words out of the mouth of the father, the words, the spirit.
So He spoke a word on the womb of Mary, and that came that spirit, and wrapped his word in flesh. And when she became, she began to show, do you know that should happen to you and me when he’s in us, we should begin to show. In the beginning was the Miltha, the word and Miltha the Word.
This is a word that we use, and it can mean word, but the real word, there is Miltha that was with Elohim, that word was Elohim. Now I’m doing this slide again because I want you to see something that was in the word, Elohim and the Tetragrammaton Yahovah. The word became flesh and dwelt among us.
We’ve seen the glory, the glory of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. The Torah was given through Moses, grace and truth through Yeshua. Hamashiach. Some people will put down the Torah based on this verse, but you’re missing it, He came to Moses and through Elohim because of the fear of the Lord, came in manifestation at Mount Sinai.
It quaked it smoke. There was thunder, there was an earthquake. He that’s what He said in Deuteronomy 20 :17, in the Hebrew Bible, 20 in the the Christian translations He said, I came to you that way so that you would fear Me and not sin. But when Yeshua came, and He’s the living Torah, He’s the mercy side.
Do you see it so beautiful, First He reveals Himself at Mount Sinai, on the hill and with Elohim. But He reveals Yeshua as a living door, as mercy, but if you take one or the other and you don’t keep them balanced, too much judgment frightens people and they get discouraged. Too much grace, they get sloppy living. You need the balance.
The Jewish people waited 1500 years for Messiah to come. You know that will teach you patience. So when John the Baptist came, they said to him, you know, he came. He’s really fiery. They knew that Elijah was supposed to come before the Messiah, so they said to him, are you Elijah? And you said, no, I’m not. So are you the prophet?
I can just imagine many believers read this text in John 1. They don’t know the reading about the prophet they’re reading albeit. Remember this, that He’s going to send one like Moses. You see, they’re looking for this prophet. And He said, no, I’m not the prophet. And he said, well, who are you? And he said, I’m a voice crying in the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord.
So He was Isaiah 40, verse 3. He knew who He was. I often ask people, do you know who you are? I just took some passages here. If you go through Matthew, go through the Gospels. You’ll see how many times you’ll begin to look for it. The people will say, this was, this is the prophet. As they watch Yeshua, the people would say, this is the prophet.
I’ve given you the references here. They say, indeed, this is the prophet. As they watched him, the leaders were missing it. The people were getting it. And, I think you will find this will be typical of our day, because he says, you see, it’s a pattern. Watch how it was in the first coming. It will be the same in the second..
Our Father always works through patterns. The people began to see He was the Messiah. He was the prophet. Yeshua said to them, truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of His own accord, but only what He sees the Father doing. He’s not a self-starter. For whatever the Father does that the Son does likewise, you see His priority of authority.
His father is His authority. Yeshua answered that my teaching is not mine, but His who sent me. If anyone wills to do God’s will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I’m speaking on my own authority. Yeshua said, when you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He the prophet, that I do nothing on my own authority but speak just as the Father taught me.
I’ve given you the reference on all these. If anyone hears my, (Because these are all different now, they’re all through the word.) If any man hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I do not come to judge the world, but to save the world. The one who rejects me does not receive my words as a judge.
The Word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day, for I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has Himself given me a commandment, what to say and what to speak. Now remember what the prophecy said, though I’m going to send one like Moses, I’m going to put my words in his mouth and then what he say, I’m going to hold you accountable for everything he speaks because he’s speaking the words of the father.
So it’s really the Father judging you. Okay, this is our concluding slide, I want you to hear this slide because we twisted it. Here’s another good example how we’ve twisted the word and made it say something it doesn’t say. He starts out this is Messiah speaking, do not think that I came to abolish the Torah. Think of it that He would come and abolish His Father’s teachings.
Or the prophets, I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them. This word is prophesy. People took the word prophesy and made it and said he did it. We don’t need to do it anymore. That’s not what He’s saying at all, He’s already said, I didn’t come to do away with this. Really, what he’s coming and doing.
He’s fulfilling those prophecies that have been written about him. Genesis 15, Genesis 12:3, Deuteronomy 18. He’s fulfilling all of those. It’s been written about Him, and He’s walking this out now because He’s the living Torah. Moses got the written, He’s the living. Moses wrote it on tablets of stone, His spirit writes it on our hearts, on flesh.
That’s the reason I know what I know today, because the spirit has written it on my heart. I ask Him for His word. I want His word. I want to know His word. I want to rightly divide His word. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot will pass from the door until all is accomplished.
Is everything been accomplished? Goodness, no, I tell you dear ones of these 2 verses alone can tell you that we need to be following what our fathers said. Therefore, whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. This determines your rank in the kingdom right here.
Not, whether you’re a missionary, not whether you gave all your money to poor, not whether you fasted. not, whether you prayed all night. He said, “This is it, If you obey my Torah, my Father’s Torah, and you teach it, then you’re going to be great. He goes on to say, therefore, whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom.
But whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom. I want to tell you, I taught the festivals ever since I’ve been able, ever since I’ve been teaching, I taught festivals, but I told people we didn’t have to do them. The day He put light on this for me, I said, where have I been?
I couldn’t believe it, I just dropped to my knees and I said, Lord, thank You for telling me this now, and not let me make it to the Bema Seat and hear this. I would have been grieved the rest of eternity. Listen, whenever you are in the kingdom, you will be for eternity. Dear ones, it won’t be a change.
It says, It’s appointed unto man once to die, and after that the judgment. If we don’t get these things right now, you won’t have another chance. As long as you’re here, long as your body you’re in, your body suit is warm and your heart’s beating, you got a chance. So it’s maybe not any. But it’s so exciting.
I tell you, I’ve never had so much life in me. When I’ve come into this relationship with my father, taken exactly what He said and doing it. I wrote this document a year about a year ago. It’s called the Alignment Document. On the front, I’ve asked some questions, like you say you love me, do you keep my Father’s commandments?
You say you love me. Do you obey my Father’s teachings given to Moses? Then we look at the Sabbath day what day is the Sabbath day? The Sabbath day has always been the seventh day, and it will always be. And that’s what it will be in the economy, that’s where we’re headed, we’re closing after six, we’re getting ready for the Sabbath, which is going to be the kingdom a thousand years.
He’s going to rule this earth. You say you love me, we just took Matthew 5:17-19. Down on the blue part, you say you love me, but since My ascension and the death of My apostles, you follow the teaching and tradition of the Gentile Church fathers, which they taught believers to turn from Sabbath to worship on Sunday as pagans who honor the sun.
The Solsetices celebrate festivals based on the Babylonian calendar rather than our Father’s appointed times and seasons. Then I quote a couple of quotes out of a very excellent pamphlet we have on the Sabbath, written by the Catholic Church, and it said, we made the change from Saturday to Sunday on the authority of the Holy Catholic Church.
The observance of Ash Wednesday or Lent stands exactly on the same footing as the observance of Sunday. We Catholics do not accept the Bible as the only rule of faith. Now I quoted this from them, they believe that they have authority to change. Text. May I remind you of Deuteronomy 4:2 and Deuteronomy 12:32. And Revelation 22:18 says, don’t add to My word, and don’t take away.
If you do, there is a consequence. When you open the document, I am giving you a rather quick overview of the of the history in the Church Fathers and what happened. And then you’re told right here how to read this document. When you come to here unfold, it completely. Be sure you read straight across. I stay with the same.
I mean you start with like when you start with the very top Yehovah Eternal Father, go to Yeshua Beloved Son, Jews, Yeshua’s brethren, then Gentiles, church fathers Go straight across right through them. You’re going to see, I couldn’t do everything, but I’ve taken major, major subjects. The father, the son, and the apostles are all in agreement.
But when you get to this column, they all depart. And when you look at this, you will find out, this is where most Christians are, they’re in this column.
The Father is so merciful and gracious, He’s giving us a chance to wake up, to get things right. Do you know it can be, when the people begin to wake up, the leaders will wake up. They’ll start to listen. It happened in Nineveh. It can happen with us. But, we have to be true to conviction. We have to be true to the word, be a Berean.
You don’t have to take my word for it, search it out, search the passages that I’ve given you because the Bible speaks for itself. Our Father’s Word is not that hard. I want to read to you, in closing, something that as I was getting ready for Torah study yesterday, {by the way, we have Torah Study every Sabbath.}
You’d be most welcome. This is the opening of the parsha. Yitro the central event of this Parsha Yisroel is the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai. All the events recorded in the Torah beginning with the creation of the world having been led up to this point, through giving the Torah, God is about to fulfill the purpose for which he created the world to make it His home.
The giving of the Torah was the purpose for which He created the world. Now He has a way. Don’t forget the pattern. The Israelites walked it out. They came out of captivity, bondage, slavery by the blood of the Passover lamb, the unleavened bread. They went through the Red sea, death, burial, and resurrection, and when they came out, the enemy swallowed up.
They’re set free. And Yehovah says take them to Mount Sinai. Redemption makes you ready for Torah. Torah never redeemed anyone. Torah is for the redeemed because the redeemed are the ones that the Father reveals his ways to, and they are the only ones who could ever walk it out. Because he lives in us, He will teach us how to do it.
Would you join me in praying and thanking our father? Would you do that.
Our father, we just say, how can we say thanks? Thank you for what we see, Thank you. What we don’t see. But you are opening our eyes. And we just want to praise you Father. Some things are hard, Some things maybe I haven’t said them very well, I just ask you to fix them. Fix what I’ve messed up.
And Father, just bless these dear ones. Give them grace for whatever you have for them. We just thank you for being true. Thank you for telling us the truth. Yes. Help us to live lives of truth. Thank you for Yeshua. Laying down His life that we might have life, that we could come and we get to call you our Father.
What a joy, What a comfort. So we say, we know in whom we have believed And we’re persuaded that He’s able to keep that which we’ve committed unto Him until the day of Messiah. In His Name we give thanks and praise, Amen.
