Cataclysm Series 13 – The Final Battle

In this next talk in the series “Cataclysm – Global Catastrophe”, Geoff considers the last seven-year period leading up to the return of Jesus on the Mount of Olives. According to the prophetic motif, he believes that this last seven-year period may be marked by a covenant with the Antichrist although it is unlikely to be the building of a so-called “Third Temple” on the Temple Mount. He considers the verse in Amos 9:11 which describes the rebuilding of “David’s fallen tent” and how James interprets it in Acts chapter 15 (The Council of Jerusalem). The breakdown of this agreement after 42 months leads to the Armageddon campaign. The Lord is in total control although it appears that Jerusalem may be about to fall. The Lord is leading the nations to the Valley of Jehoshaphat which will be created by the most devastating earthquake yet to take place on Planet Earth (Revelation 16:18; Zechariah 14:4). This valley also becomes a way of escape for many (perhaps half) of the residents of Jerusalem. The Lord goes into battle against the invading armies when he comes with his angels in glory. Finally, Geoff deals with the issue of rapture which he regards as angelic transportation to Jerusalem. The timing of the “rapture” is after the resurrection of the dead in Christ as described in Revelation 20:5. In other words, according to the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:50-52: Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed – in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
