After The Millennium 1 – The Mystery of the Eighth Day
This is the first part of a two-part talk on what will happen after the 1000 years which is the Millennial reign of Jesus on Earth. He will be ruling the nations with a rod of iron. Not everyone will co-operate. The talks are focused on the significance of the Feast of Tabernacles which is a seven-day festival which becomes a celebration of Jesus throughout the Millennium. Although the feast lasts for seven days, there is a mysterious eighth day (Leviticus 23:36) which the Rabbi’s now celebrate as Simchat Torah (the Rejoicing in the Law). This celebration pre-figures a wedding. The eighth day also features in the Torah as the day after ceremonial cleansing for any spot or blemish. It is the day when the presentation takes place before the Lord. In this talk, Geoff discusses the significance of the marriage between God and his people that took place a Sinai with the giving of the Law which is, in effect, the marriage contract. The contract has been broken (Jeremiah 31:32) and a divorce certificate issued (Isaiah 50:1; Jeremiah 3:8). At the conclusion of this first part, we ask the question, “So it is the end, or is it?” We await the second part which will be given on October 15th, two days before Simchat Torah 2022.
