It is given on the eve of Tisha B’Av which is the fast when the orthodox remember the desecration and destruction of Solomon’s Temple, repeated in AD70. In this presentation, Geoff considers the Festivals and Feasts during the Millennium and offers some more thoughts regarding sacrifice and offering. The most significant feature of the festivals mentioned in Ezekiel chapters 40 through 48, is the fact that Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) is not mentioned.

In this presentation, Geoff initially considers the state of the world, particularly at the beginning of the Millennium. Prior to the return of Jesus, catastrophic events will have taken place. During the Millennium, Jesus will reign with a “rod of iron” in the midst of his enemies. Furthermore, there will be both mortal and immortal human beings. The immortals are those who have been raised during the first resurrection described in Revelation chapter 20.

In this presentation, Geoff considers the precise plans for a dwelling place for a holy God among sinful men using the Tabernacle in the Wilderness and Solomon’s Temple as specific examples. In both cases, when the work had been completed, the Glory of the Lord filled the sanctuary and, also in both cases, the priests could not perform their roles.
